Pay it Forward

To introduce remembrance photography to parents suffering the loss of a baby with the free gift of professional portraiture. We believe these images serve as an important step in the family’s healing process by honoring their child’s legacy.

Why I Choose to Photograph for NILMDTS

I was raised by two parents who always taught me to be kind, to spread joy and love wherever I go, and to live by the golden rule to treat others as you would desire to be treated. I am so grateful that my Mother and Father taught me to live my life this way, because giving back is one of my favorite things to do. Because photography is my passion, I decided I wanted to give back through my art. I applied for NILMDTS because I have a love in my heart for every single person in this world. My journey with this organization began when NILMDTS accepted my application to volunteer. These families are experiencing a sorrow like no other, and during that sorrow they give me gratitude and I give them the gift of free portraiture to help them heal. Volunteering with this organization is not easy, however it is a choice that I made, and I am blessed to be able to create remembrance photography for these mothers. These sessions are just as important as any other shoot that I do. I am creating photographs that honor their child’s legacy. I am a proud volunteer.

This part of Break the Mold Photo begin at Christmas time in 2011. I wanted to volunteer, with the art and skills I was blessed with, and also share the Christmas story. Nothing brings me more joy than to give back. Giving the gift of photography is truly a remarkable gift for both sides. Year round, I give back, with the Christmas spirit. The way I do this, is when I hear of a family who is in the valleys of their lives, or perhaps a family who has just adopted a child, or even a family who I feel just has really big hearts and need to be rewarded… I reach out to them. Break the Mold Photos tells them that… we would like to gift them with a portrait session. During this portrait session, We photograph their family and share joy with them, and love to hear their story. I take great pride in paying it forward, and sharing joy through the love of photography.
